The Institute of Technology & Management is a vibrant educational Institute which offers an accessible and supportive environment to National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students. At ITM we ensure students are assisted in developing relevant skills, knowledge base and strategies that will foster a work life balance. In addition, we also help to inspire confidence, self-reliance and equip our students for the competitive labour market. Presently, the Institute offers three stimulating programmes: Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Computing and Leisure & Tourism Management. These programmes are delivered in a wide array of methods to ensure that all learners are catered for.
We are on the verge of introducing more programmes (and departments) like Hospitality Management, Science Laboratory, Electrical Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and Metal Works to holistically improve the entrepreneurial and technological skills of those who will go through the Institute. One of our key strengths is the student centred approach that underpins our teaching. To facilitate this, all lecturers are trained to engage students in regular and real life practical approaches. Furthermore, Industry practitioners are available to provide us with most recent trends in the industries so that our curriculums can be tailored toward them.
The Business Management & Entrepreneurship department in its two years of existence has rendered professional trainings to international NGO’s, local businesses as well as the state and the local government respectively. Our Computing department has three well-equipped (software, hardware and networking) laboratories; with affiliations to international memberships. ITM is a training centre for Cisco, Cyberoam and other IT programmes. The Leisure & Tourism Management department boasts of a world class Tourism Village, which caters for guests, staff and students travel, recreation, food and beverage needs.
Again, our guest house is home to both domestic and international guests. This also serves as a platform to deliver practical sessions to our students. The General Studies department complements the activities of the other departments to give a holistic ‘teaching-learning’ experience to our students.
